It’s no big secret that I love the Firefox based browser, Flock, more than any other web 2.0 tool. So what happened today? Flock 1.1 was released. And my life got even easier!

New to Flock

  • Gmail and Yahoo built in! Saves me a lot of time and memory right there.
  • Picasa support. Pretty cool. I might have to start using Picasa
  • MyWorld, the already multi-purpose Flock summary page, is even more robust.

I’ve written about Flock on several occasions, so flip through my blog if you want more. It is a very happy day for TechGeeks with no life(me!).

  • My friend and I used Picasa many many years ago, when it first came out. We *loved* it, and spent hours taking pictures and sharing them, just to play around with Picasa. The kids got in on the action too, sending me showers and showers of falling hearts.

Then, randomly, one by one, Picasa stopped working on our & our
"friends" computers. Mine always seemed to be ok, but since i had nobody to talk and share with anymore, I uninstalled it.

The new Flock ROCKS even more than the old Flock! I love it. Muchly. :D
  • Thanks for the Flock love, Loki! You rock! :)
