Wrinkled time
conspires against me.
The liquid clockwork
voice moves to
dance with me.
I cannot see her
through the dense
liquid. I only hear
the clockwork motions.
We tango, back and forth,
to the rhythm of
a metronome,
moving in directions
that I could
never understand.
