• First draft of Developmental Theology 089 finished.  Working with some collaborators now.
• Mailed out 5 postcards.  More to come.
• Broke out Tiger Wood regalia, because it is cold.
• Began a workout regimen.
• Actively recording 12seconds videos.
• Added a few thousands words to my short story, The Cost of Magic.

I think that about covers it for the week.  I’ve got some really cool stuff coming up, so visit often!

Some craziness going on this past week.

I started my NaNoWriMo novel, I’m about 15,000 words in. I need to pick up the pace if I am going to finish on time. I’ve played with the idea of releasing sections of it on here. Making it a serial. We’ll see what happens.

I signed up on Squidoo. I’ve got two lenses going now. One on myself, and one of the video game Fable 2. There will be a lot of these in the future, and links will be here for all of them, so you don’t miss out.

Also started reading Seth Godin’s Tribes. It’s pretty smart stuff. There will be a review of it when I finish.

You have been my browser of choice for several years now, but it is time we part ways.  Sure, you’ve got IE beat down so bad it doesn’t even seem like a browser anymore.  You’ve got extensions for everything to make my web browsing easier, you’ve got a lot.

BUT you are not Flock.  Flock makes browsing fun again.  Tabs.  Everything carried over from my mozilla settings.  Sidebars for damned near everything.  Works with Firefox extensions.  Flock even looks good.  Really good.  Check the screenshot.

Media Streams are freaking awesome.  Flock automatically finds all the media on a page and will display it in a slide bar at the top if you wish.  Makes going through flickr or photobucket a thousand times easier. 

Auto find feeds for the integrated feed reader.  Which is excellent.  I’ve gotten rid of Anothr all together because of this. 

Syncs up with my livejournal, wordpress, flickr, youtube, del.icio.us, photobucket, and twitter. You can post to any of these from anywhere in the browser.  Also supports drag and drop file sharing and uploads.  Inegrated blogging interface for most sites(which I am using right now.)

Flock can be a little tricky to install on ubuntu, check out this article for help.

It’s been fun Mozilla, but we just can’t see each other anymore.

1. OS = Ubuntu and Windows XP
– Ubuntu is awesome. We have our fights, sure. But it all works out in the end. XP I still can’t live without at the moment, but I’m trying hard.
2. GAIM.
– There’s really no other IM client.
3. Mozilla Firefox
– IE? What the hell is that?
4. Wordpress
– No one does blogs better.
5. Gmail
– Still got yahoo? Get rid of it. Archives. Archives. I cannot say that enough.
6. Winamp(on XP) and Amarok(on Ubuntu)
– Winamp? It really kicks the llama’s ass. Amarok is just cool.
7. Nethack
– After over 20 years, video games still don’t get much more fun.
8. GIMP
– Ubuntu or Windows. This is my all time favorite graphics editor.
9. OpenOffice.
– Covers all of my word processing and database needs, free, and works on both platforms.

That’ll do for now. Anyone have suggestions on great things I’m missing out on?
